Halo: Windells session three

Halo WIison

Wow summer is flying by already! Session 3 at Windells is a wrap! Camp was going off this week with a super sick set up both on and off-hill! We had tons of sun-kissed faces, smiles and sunny and sick days up on the infamous Palmer snowfield!

On the ski-side of things, Sammy Carlson’s Invitational contest attempted to go down, but mother nature would not allow it. Low clouds stopped the impressive roster of pros from getting their fill on the 100+ foot jump. It was still fun as Sammy hit the jump a few times, and a good show was still put on for the kids! Sammy and friends made good use of the jump, though, and had a few private shoots, one of them being a sunset shoot with a helicopter there to document it. Sammy also pushed the progression of that session by doing the FIRST switch triple cork ever on skis!

Back on campus, the smiles continued as there was a lot of fun stuff to do this week! Leanne Pelosi swung by camp to meet and greet with the campers and sign autographs as well!

I got to run Salomon sponsor night at camp and it went like this- it involved a slalom-style course through the new concrete jungle, riders were battling head to head, tournament style, to make it down to the final 2. The top skaters had to race the course together to the finish, then back to the start line, in reverse, all while wearing the infamous Salomonder and BonBot costumes! The winner walked away with a brand new snowboard from Salomon and all participants got some other sick prizes like hoodies, hats, wallets, and limited edition coach’s jackets!
