It’s summer time again and time for another epic summer of shred @ Windell’s. Session 1 campers were the first to experience some new campus improvements! In B.O.B., (the infamous Building Out Back) new foam was added to the foam pit, a second, new olympic sized trampoline was added for extra air-awareness practice, a new remote camera system, where campers wear small stickers on their helmets, that trigger the camera to film. You can then review your footage instantly on a big screen in BOB, or online at a later time. It’s called COREAction, and it’s super rad! A dry slope was added with a tsunami box, to flat box line, and a rail line. Pretty fun way to up your steez at camp. Another addition, not to be forgotten is a Bag Jump on campus, with 2 dry slope approaches. And last, but not least, the huge new concrete skate park, forged by head skate coach Jamie Weller! So much fun if you are into surfing the concrete wave.

Amidst all the fun at campus, campers and I had a great time on-hill! We received rain, snow and sunshine through the week. On the snowy days, the amazing people at Timberline resort came up and opened a private life for us, and Windell’s diggers put in the effort to get a legit park up for us! I had seven boy campers ranging from ages 12 to 14. It was a blast, some 360s and 270s were learned, and everyday we were some of the last ones on-hill.
