Kyla is an Aspen native who has been rising in the national standings over the past few years. Kyla competes in major halfpipe and slopestyle events around the world, and her energetic, outgoing personality motivates everyone around her. In 2009, she took 4th in Halfpipe at the USASA Nationals, winning her an invite to the Project Gold camp, a training session for potential Olympians
