Friday, October 3, 2008
Wheeler Opera House – Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
Nimbus Independent – Hunting Yeti – 5 p.m.
What is it about skiing? The Nimbus Independent crew tries to answer that question with this new release. The film showcases skiing that is more fun and enjoyable for everyone; more about fluidity and style than amplitude or quantity of rotations. This film breaks from the norm of pro athletes hitting jump after jump with a couple contrived lifestyle segments, to producing a project that communicates what ski culture is and the community it creates. Featuring: Pep Fujas, Eric Pollard, Chris Benchetler, Ike Smith, Andy Mahre and their friends.
Poor Boyz Productions – Reasons – 6 p.m.
This year, Poor Boyz is proud to bring you a movie unlike any other in its illustrious past. Connect with pros on a personal level as they reveal the finer details of their journeys, and explore the collective passion of skiing beyond the lens and onto the slopes. Reasons delivers mind-boggling urban footage, up-close and personal paraglide follow-cams, backcountry playground innovation, and endless powder in all its glory. Witness a stunning display of the evolution of the sport and reconnect with all the reasons why you fell in love with skiing in the first place. Featuring: Simon Dumont, JP Auclair, Matt Walker, Sammy Carlson, Mark Abma and many more.
Oakley & 1242 Films – Uniquely – 8:30 p.m.
Uniquely takes viewers on a cultural journey through Japan, Russia, Colorado, California, Indonesia, Brazil, Australia and beyond following the best snowboarders, skiers, surfers, skateboarders and wakeboarders. Audiences will explore the remote corners of the earth with the women of Oakley, as they search for perfect conditions while building lasting memories and lifelong friendships. The film was shot, directed and edited by John Roderick, who used HD and RED cameras to capture progressive action while creating a vivid picture of the world. Featuring: Gretchen Bleiler, Marie-France Roy, Lauren Layne Beachley, Kristi Leskinen, Grete Eliassen, Amber Wing and more.
Brain Farm Productions – That’s It, That’s All – 9:30 p.m.
Dedicated to everything snowboarding, Travis Rice and a dream team crew set out on a seek-and-destroy operation for the new zone, the new trick and the new perspective on the sport. Aspiring to bring you closer, The Hi Def, 35, super16 footage answers the question why Travis Rice and his friends have poured blood, sweat, tears and soul into a simple thing like snowboard. Featuring: Travis Rice, Nicolas Müller, Terje Håkonsen, Jeremy Jones, John Jackson, Pat Moore, Scotty Lago, Danny Kass and more.
Friday, October 3, 2008
Belly Up – Doors open at 9 p.m.
Level 1 – Turbo – 10 p.m.
Turbo will not give your car an extra power boost or shave seconds off your quarter mile but it might change the way you think about skiing. Filmed across the Midwest and Quebec, from neck deep pow in Wyoming, to the big mountain arena of Alaska and at Level 1’s trademark parkshoot progression sessions, Turbo is not to be missed. Featuring: Ahmet Dadali, Mike Hornbeck, JF Houle, Tanner Rainville, Stefan Thomas, Wiley Miller, Steele Spence, Core Vanular, Josh Bibby and others.
Rage Films – Such As Life – 11 p.m.
It takes the Earth 24 hours to rotate around its axis, 7 rotations in a week, and 365 spins to make a ski film. The making of a ski film is not a hobby for us, but a way of life. Our talented group of athletes train year round, work odd jobs and dream during the off season of what the upcoming season will bring. Featuring: Kyler Cooley, Ian Cosco, Dylan Natale, AJ Burton, LJ Strenio, Gus Kenworthy, Derek Spong, Ashley Battersby, Taylor Felton, Jamie Burge, Jessica Sobolowski, Lynsey Dyer, Ryan Oakden and many others.
Performance by Glitch Mob – 12 a.m.
Four West Coast DJs make up the Glitch Mob, whose music is described as “Digital Crunk.” The Glitch Mob are renowned for their relentless sonic assault on the dance floor, working crowds into a frenzy with their ferocious drums, relentless sub bass, and otherworldly sound design. The Glitch Mob has been hitting the studio hard in 2008, making time amidst their relentless tour schedule to complete their debut full-length.
Saturday, October 4, 2008
Wheeler Opera House – Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
Mack Dawg Productions People – Down With People – 5 p.m.
Last years movie We’re People Too had major successes, including Austin Smith winning TransWorld SNOWboarding Magazine’s “Rookie of the Year” and “Video Part of the Year” from his standout debut. MDP People’s focus has always been to showcase the most progressive snowboarding from individuals with heart and personality. Featuring: Austin Smith, Bryan Fox, Curtis Ciszek, Fillipo Kratter, Joe Sexton, Jon Kooley, Jordan Mendenhall, Josh Mills, Louie Fountain, Nima Jalali, Pat McCarthy, Ryan Thompson, Simon Chamberlain, Shaun McKay, Stephen Duke and Zac Marben.
Mack Dawg Productions – Double Decade – 6 p.m.
20 years. 25 films. 5 continents. Hundreds of riders. Now in 2008, MDP takes it to the next level. To celebrate their twentieth year making some of the sickest shred flicks on the planet, Mack Dawg once again pulled out the stops to create a film that lives up to the MDP legacy. Featuring: Aaron Biittner, Andreas Wiig, Darrell Mathes, DCP, Devun Walsh, Eero Ettala, Eero Niemala, Heikki Sorsa, Iikka Backstrom, Jeremy Jones, Jussi Oksanen, JP Walker, Lauri Heiskari, Seth Huot and Wille Yli-Luoma.
Tanner Hall – The Massive – 8 p.m.
Tanner Hall and The Massive crew are on the shred mission. Follow the action from the superpipe at Copper Mountain to the powder of Retallack, BC. From the urban assault on Salt Lake City to the brutal heat wave in St Anton, Austria. From the heavy “slo-roast” in Pemberton, BC to the bluebird days in Haines Alaska, bringing it all home with an end of the year jam at Mt Hood, Oregon. Featuring: Tanner Hall, Sean and Callum Pettit, Ian McIntosh, Dana Flahr, Sammy Carlson, Ian and Neal Provo, Sean Field, Frank Raymond, Tom Burt and Karl the Gnarl.
Matchstick Productions – CLAIM – 9 p.m.
Somewhere along the line in all action sports it became “uncool” to show how stoked you were when you did something sick. What’s that all about? Skiing is about that surge of adrenaline and stoke, not about feeling the hate of the image police. This year Matchstick throws caution to the wind and puts the stoke back in skiing. The result is Claim. A truly epic film shot in the most amazing locations including Sneaky’s run on Snowmass, Colo. Featuring: Mark Abma, Chris Davenport, Jon Olsson, Shane McConkey, Eric Hjorleifson and more.
Saturday, October 4, 2008
Belly Up – Doors open at 9 p.m.
Bluebird Films – The Bluebird Movie – 10 p.m.

Rome SDS and Kids on Shred Productions – No Correct Way – 11 p.m.

The Rome SDS promises once again to provide a visual assault to the brain of snowboarding, any type, anytime, anywhere, and bring it to you with their unique outlook of fun and friends.
