Greg Maxwell: Where did you spend your last season?
I started out with some epic powder days in Austria, then went to Mammoth to move into my place there… After that back to the Alps for the European Open, a Dragon Team photoshoot in France, and my brother’s 21st birthday. After that wild party I flew to Mammoth and also hung out in Tahoe with the Nikita girls for a photoshoot. In March I drove up to Whistler and basically have been there since.. I like it more and more every day…
Greg Maxwell: What kind of sled do you have?
A 2007 M8 Arctic Cat 153”.... its a special edition Atomic sled and I absolutely love it! 157 Horsepower… Get your ski-doo out of my way!
Greg Maxwell: How was the snowmobiling in whistler?
Its so sick there! There are so many lonesome valleys and tons of sick spots. The Canadian wilderness really intrigues me and I love the feeling of standing somewhere far out in the backcountry and wondering whether any human has EVER stood right there before. I love coming over ridges and seeing down the next untouched valley. There are also so many spots to build jumps and drop cliffs - it’s just one massive playground. I can’y wait for the snow to fall so I can keep on exploring all these places!
Greg Maxwell: So you bought an RV. Where did you get it?
I found it on Craisglist when I first got to Whistler. My friend Greg drove me to Vancouver to look at it and I fell in love with it immediately. I bought it that same night and drove off with it the next morning. It wasn’t driving too far though - I broke down 5 times in the first 3 days… It took a couple different mechanics to look at it before I figured out what was wrong with it - just something with the fuel line. It has been driving great ever since and I love the gypsy camping lifestyle!
Greg Maxwell: Best and worst thing about the RV…
The worst is definitely that there is no electricity because I am too cheap to buy a generator. So I always have to charge all my electrical devices at friends’ places or AC outlets that I find outside of buildings…
Best thing is obvious: Always have your bed with you!

Water is awesome. I also love beer - I am German! Whiskey Coke is a good one for parties… drinking in general is good! I am really getting into Cesars these days - pretty Canadian, eh?!

Greg Maxwell: What are your plans for next season?
I try not to make plans because things always end up differently anyways…. but right now it looks like I am gonna be living in Whistler and trying to film as much as possible. I wanna get better on my sled and practice my backcountry skills so that I can comfortably go to Alaska hopefully at the end of next season!
Robert Brunton: Summer or winter - spring… but I like all seasons and especially the change…

not too many, 700 or so?! I dont drive long distances - mainly just move it arond Whistler from one spot to the next so that no one gets tired of seeing my huge rig in their driveway…

Of course I do - but many look alike…

I wish I did…. but unfortunately no….

Sam Danniels: Sunny park or cloudy powder?
Depends on the park and the powder and the cloudiness. I would say park though - I really like sunshine…. and i the powder isnt perfect and untracked I am not really that interested anyways… I can’t stand tracks and bumps on powder days - it hurts my knees… I like the kind of backcountry where you just go into the untouched deepness and I have had many of those perfect days so that tracked, bumpy pow is of no interest to me…
