Olympic Hopeful: Lizzy Beerman
Christina Johnson
Born in Buffalo, NY where snow is far from scarce, Lizzy Beerman and her family later made the move to Westen, VT. She began to ride in 1998 at the age of 8 and never looked back. Lizzy first became sponsored in 2005, later turned pro in 2007, and had a great rookie year on the US Snowboarding Rookie Team in 2008.

Aside from snowboarding, Lizzy enjoys surfing, road biking, swimming, painting, and of course spending time with friends and family. This 80’s music loving, health food eating girl works at a health food store in Vermont when she’s not snowboarding and spending time on the competition circuit.
Lizzy is influenced by Ellery Hollingsworth whom she often competes with at half pipe competitions. Her favorite trick is the ever stylish lean air that she learned while attending the Stratton Mountain School. Lizzy got a taste for the school in 7th grade, and later returned for all 4 years of high school.

Lizzy’s first taste of competition success came in 2006 when she earned 2nd at the Billabong Jr. Snow Pro. She then went on to earn 1st at the USASA Nationals in half pipe in 2007, 2 1st place wins on the 2007 Revolution Tour, and 2nd in halfpipe at the Australian Open.
Aside from her laid back personality and high flying airs, this girl is backed by a monster list of sponsors, including Burton, DC, Oakley, US Snowboarding, and Darkside.

This 18 year old is a powerhouse in the pipe and someone to keep an eye on during Olympic qualifiers.
