What tricks do you plan on learning this year?
I hope to have a McTwist to front seven in pipe. Cab 5 to Back 5 off jumps.
Do you think style should get more credit in the contest circuit, or should tricks be judged mostly by their level of technical difficulty?
It should be a fair mixture of both. If you have the hardest skills and you look the best doing them, hands down you should win.
Do you consider yourself competitive? Has this helped your snowboarding at all?
I’m am absolutely competitive and it has helped me out a lot. It makes me strive for my goals that much more.

Who’s the hottest snowboard boy?
Travis Rice and Heikki Sorsa! : D
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you in a competition?
The most embarrassing thing that happened to me in a competition wasn’t in snowboarding, it was when i was in gymnastics. I had a cold but i decided to still compete on bars. I had a super stuffy nose and at the point where i went to jump from the bottom bar to the top i sneezed and some how my snot landed right on the judges table. Needless to say, they didn’t think it was too funny and i didn’t get a very high score.

Any good stories of entertaining or embarrassing wrecks?
After the halfpipe in snowmass their is a stair case. I have hit this thing all year long to big deal right? Well i get on it frontside, caught my heel edge, and full on tomahawk right on the actual stairs. This was by far the most painful crash i had ever had. I was black and blue for days… the slight limp didn’t help much either.
What do you eat for breakfast before a big competition?
Yogurt, milk, and some fruit
Fashion or function?
Function for sure, but there is no reason why companies can’t work out both.
Pirates or Ninjas?
A Pirate Ninja, I mean its best of both worlds : )
