How did you get started snowboarding?
One day I was skiing, going up the t-bar, and I ask the lift to give me a slingshot.  It was pretty rad, I kind of flew. Then next run, some shredder dude in front of me got a sling shot and popped a massive 180, on the t-bar, and I was like…”dang son, that looks way more fun!”

What do you think of women’s snowboarding today?  Where do you see it going?
Ladies on boards, I think it’s all right. I think it’s super sick to see, and be part of, a shred posse of ladies, killing it. I see the ladies of the snowboard lifestyle getting more creative with it, and having even more fun. Girls are lucky, because there is so much potential for growth both in our sport, and the business side of it.

What tricks do you plan on learning this year?
Laybacks on jibs, and tail blocks.

Any good stories of entertaining or embarrassing wrecks?
Maybe the time, at the Banff winter start rail jam, where I greased the down-flat good, popped a 180 out, and went flying into the judges tent…that was pretty funny!

What do you think the worst snowboarding trend is?
Ummm…onto politics, I think that tindy’s and switch tindy should totally be brought back into mainstream shred.

Do you think style should get more credit in the contest circuit, or should tricks be judged mostly by their level of technical difficulty?
I think that if you cant make a trick look good, you don’t have the trick down. So therefore steeze should be what it is all about.

Ever had a serious injury?
I don’t like this question, if I say no...I jinx myself, if I say yes…I jinx myself…all injuries suck

Pirates or Ninjas?
Depends, ninjas have ninja sticks, and super fighting/aerobic abilities…Pirates say “RRRrrr mate” can handle their whiskey, and cause chaos. On the flip side ninjas have to eat rice, and pirates get scurvy. So I think I choose cowboys.

Up to anything other than snowboarding?
Studying business, working, TV watching, my space, Japanese hip hop, mingling and mixing…
