Do you prefer riding in competitions, or shooting photos/videos?
I think shooting photos and video is more fun ‘cause you can do what you want and don’t have the pressure of having to be number one.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you in a competition?
If you can laugh at yourself, you’re never embarrassed! Falling can put you in check, though.

Pirates or Ninjas?
A pirate’s life for me!

What’s the most annoying trend in snowboarding?
Tall tees and tight pants. Sorry, I had to say it…. you know you all feel it.

Do you prefer to ride alone or with friends?
I arrive alone and float around through the masses!

What influences your style?
Function, first! I also like to be comfortable, since I’m out there for hours a day.

Who’s the hottest snowboard boy?
Eero Ettala!

Non-snowboard boy?
Jonny Depp!

What would make the best pet: a tiger, a unicorn, an alligator, or a furry monster?
A unicorn of course!

Do you think style should get more credit in the contest circuit, or should tricks be judged mostly by their level of technical difficulty?
I think everyone has a different style, that’s what makes this sport so unique. I think technicality is what matters and that should score points.

What do you do to kill time in the off-season?
I like to longboard in the summer to keep my carving muscles alive. Hopefully this season, I’ll be coaching at HCSC. That would be fun! And playing with my doggies!
