WTF - Want to Look Hot?
The latest fashion option for those of us who don’t feel our skin-tight spandex snowboard pants are quite sexy enough: an imitation fur boot wrapper! Want one? Just $98 at bootchic.com!
Each model is named after a stereotypical aspect of some ski town. For instance, the “posh” Aspen design appears to be modeled after this guy’s feet:
Aww, isn’t the horsey cute? Don’t you just want to pet him? I guess it’s also possible these boot covers are instead meant to simulate the preferred apres-ski fur boots of Aspen’s native cougar species.
Meanwhile, for some local Mammoth flavor, they’ve skinned Wooly, the mountain’s mascot, and provided you with a portion of his lower legs to wear around (below left). And apparently at Stowe (below right), they’ve managed to capture the elusive Yett, and they had enough left to make a matching scarf! What luck!
I know you’re thinking “these are just for gaper skiers!” But no, they’re apparently awesome for snowboarders too! See? Note how the clydesdale feet give her the boxy look all of us girls dream of. Well either that or she’s wearing baggy shorts and forgot to shave her legs. Bit hard to tell. Either way, you can tell she’s an expert snowboarder from her 15” wide stance and 125cm board.
The most entertaining part of this website has to be the slideshow on the guestbook, which you’ll just have to check out yourself to fully enjoy. I won’t give away all the fun surprises, but I will say that apparently it’s possible to play tennis in these.
