The Magical Powers of Duct Tape

So with the approaching season I’m sure many of you, like myself, have already or will bust out the old wallet to fork over some $$ for some new gear whether it costs $5 or $500. I encourage buying, especially of women-specific products because it leads to the creation of more and better women-specific gear items. However, before you look to buy a completely new setup, there may be hope to revive your old stuff! ..and in a cheap way! Yes, that’s right folks- all you need to do is mosey on down to the drug store/hardware store/office supply store (okay so pretty much everywhere sells it) and pick up some good ol’ duct tape. You’re in luck too, because it comes in so many fun colors.

Here’s an example(w/photos) of how to harness the magical powers of duct tape:

The one annoying thing about so many gloves is that they don’t stand a chance against the sharp edges of our snowboards when we’re carrying them through the parking lot, to the lifts, and back to the car at the end of the day. This leads to some massive digit shreddage of the fabric. You look down at your fingers and there’s nothin’ but holes, rips, and tears straight through all the layers. Somewhere water droplets are celebrating that they can now seep into your prized gore-tex gloves and freeze your fingers off. If you’re not ready to shell out to buy new gloves or need a quick fix for such a terrible situation, you’re in a prime position to unleash the power of duct tape. First rip off several (2-3) small pieces of the duct tape of your choice. Then put one piece going from the front of one finger to the back of that finger. After you’ve smoothed it down, wrap the remaining piece(s) around the finger. Presto! You’ve now fixed your glove and your fingers will thank you. Here are some pictures:
