Meet Christina
Hello all!! My name is Christina and I’m from the wonderful East Coast residing in Upstate, NY. I’m a 24 year old mom and wife who had never even seen an actually mountain resort until 3 years ago. Sad but true. I blame my parents. I was introduced to snow sports by my husband when we first met and my first time was awful!!
My darling husband decided it would be cool to bring me to a local mountain and strap me into a pair of ski blades. We got to the top of the beginner hill, he strapped into his board, and told me to come to him. That’s it, no instructions, nothing!! Needless to say, I fell most of the way down and ended up taking the blades off and walking down to the car. I was upset but determined more then ever to take up snowboarding. My father-in-law brought me to another mountain a few weeks later and paid for a lesson with one stipulation: he gets to write an article for a local paper about learning how to snowboard for the first time. That was when I was 21 and I got hooked! That summer I got pregnant so my second season I didn’t ride at all. After having my daughter and getting married, I was pumped to prove to everyone that a 23 year old could learn to ride and still be a mom and wife. Fast forward to now: I’m about to be 24 in a week and am excited more then ever to see what the future has to hold!
