Beanie Thursday Hijacked!
Today, as I was browsing around MySpace friend requesting random people who looked like snowboarders and appeared to be female, and I came across the cutest, neonest shop ever. They’re from Slovenia, so I can’t understand any of the writing, and am forced to just randomly click on things… but that’s not really that distressing, because there are so many fun and cute things to look at. What is distressing: I’m not sure I’ll be able to decipher the shopping cart section.
For instance, check out this bag, it has bunnies on a rocket. I mean, come on, how can you say no to bunnies on a rocket?
Wait, I’m supposed to be talking about beanies. Focus! Anyway, the whole point is, I was browsing around and came across this super cute beanie brand called Knitty.
So, I’ve decided to hijack Beanie Thursdays. With this:

For me, beanies are a somewhat satisfying alternative to Manic Panic, since I’ve reached an age where employers no longer find hot pink hair acceptable. So, here we have a hot pink and purple striped beanie, similar to a pattern I attempted on my hair when I was 19. Except the stripes ran more in the direction of the strands of hair, because I wasn’t clever enough to figure out how to make them run sideways like that. Either way, this beanie has the loudness that my Manic Panic loving heart desires. Plus, it has a bit of sag, which is not only stylish, but allows beanies to fit better on my giant head.
Also, because I do like a nice pom, I discovered that Knitty makes detachable poms that you can add to beanies whenever you like. This will allow me to make clashy color combinations, to go with my snowboard outerwear and typical fashion choices.

At first I thought maybe these were fun 80’s style hair accessories, to tie to your sideways ponytail, I’ve run the site through the Google Translator , which has informed me that they’re meant to “bind to the cap.” By the way… if you’ve never tried Google Translator on a site, you should run it on this one - not only does it make navigating the cute stuff easier, but it has some hilarious unintentional translations. For instance, Google has decided to change rider Anie Podgorne’s name to “Rubbish Podgorne.”
Anyway, for more fun, take a look at: http://www.chickita.si/ or paste that URL into the Google Translator for a somewhat Englishy alternative.
