And we thought ski boots were bad

Occasionally, I scour the web for things that are not snowboard related. In fact, often times, those things are fashion related. Anyway, I came across some pictures of Ms. Victoria Beckham shilling her new perfume line at Macy’s in New York, and all I could think when I saw her footwear was “EGADS! I thought ski boots looked like a form of torture!”

 

I mean. There are no heels! None. Just balancing precariously on the ball of your foot. These are also not a joke. They’re by Antonio Berardi if any of you have the burning desire to run out and buy them. Although you could probably buy yourself a complete snowboard set up for what they would cost you.

I like the dress though.

Part of the reason I thought snowboarding looked more fun than skiing was because the boots were more comfortable, and you can actually walk down stairs in them like a normal person. I realize that in general, women’s dress shoes aren’t about comfort (I have plenty of pairs of heels that remind me of this whenever I wear them) but these boots do seem to be pushing that envelope to the fullest.

They certainly make a statement though. Not entirely sure what that statement is, but they make them.  For me, I think I’ll stick with my Vans.
