Let’s Talk Custom…..Beanies.
Gotta be the most unique girl on the mountain? Bored with mainstream beanies? Or just against supporting companies that are using Chinese factories to create your threads? Then you, my friend, need to look into getting yourself a custom made beanie.
If you know someone who knits, or are a knitter yourself, this is an easy thing to do. However, if you don’t, it’s easy to find someone who can make you the custom beanie of your dreams. Thanks, Internet!
I have a bit of an addiction to the online craft fair known as Etsy. Often times, while I’m supposed to be productive, what I’m actually doing is etsy-ing. I’m constantly thrilled by the amount of amazingly creative people there are in the world, especially as far as knitted hats go. Just browsing around the “knitting” section of the site brings out some amazing stuff, and I thought I’d share some of my favorite finds with all of you to give you an idea of the wonderful things you can find there!
And if you can’t find what you want, you can always use the Alchemy section to describe your dream beanie, and hopefully, someone will respond and be able to make what you want. Pretty awesome, yeah?

I love Etsy! But I knit, and my goal (once I finish my 5 current projects) is to make something like Coal’s waffle beanie: argh, meant to share a link, but their website is just a blank “coming soon” page right now.
