Snowbroader 09/10 Preview

The annual Snowsports Industries of America convention in Las Vegas is in two weeks, and we’ll be there getting the digs on the latest women’s gear for y’all.  Check back soon for previews of the 09/10 lines from Burton, DC, Rome, Holden, Vans, Betty Rides, Nikita, Cilla and lots of other brands.  We’ll even be checkin’ out some crazy moon boot lookin’ things from Rubber Duck, despite the fact that they slightly scare us.

Until then, we’ll whet your gear whore appetite with a sampling of stuff from snowbroader.  These guys have already gotten to ride some of the new gear from Burton, Rome, and more!  Check out their full preview section is here: http://broblog.snowbroader.eu/category/0910-collection/

Here’s a preview of what they’ve covered so far:

Bataleon 2010

Bataleon doesn’t give a damn about all the reverse camber hype because they have Triple Base Technology - the best thing that has happened to snowboarding, according to them! With TBT you get a board that is more versatile: jib sticks that you can still snowboard on, twins that still carve, crazy carve machines that still butter and freaky pow floating boards that handle better on slopes! Their boards are - still - not flat in 2010 and that’s good! wink

DC Snowboarding 2010

Today we serve you some 2010 DC snowboarding! It’s pretty fresh. Along the line of boots that is as solid as you could expect from DC, the Mountain Lab has also developed nice outerwear, bags and boards of course! The DC line counts 7 series of boards:
  * the high end HKD freestyle boards including the Devun Walsh prodeck (in 153 and 158),
  * the freestyle MLF features sick Mountain Lab graphics by artist Andrew RAE. You will be able to customize the top sheet with stickers. These decks have their distinctive “straight curb” nose and tail to help you ride pow better and come in 5 length: 152, 154, 156, 158, 161). The IIkka Backstrom prodeck is a special MLF made by IIkka for himself!

Rome SDS 2010

Rome is still a pretty young snowboard company -2001- but it has grown step by step into one of the most solid one in the industry.  Not only do they have one of the sickest team with LNP, Max Legend, Bjorn Leines or MFR, but they have a solid 2009/2010 collection featuring all sort of shapes and camber profiles on their boards, as well as boots, bindings, outerwear, gloves, accessories, bags….Heavy players with attitude!
Of course some new decks appear like the Pushed 1985 a soft blunt twin deck with reverse free camber and carbon V stringer for those who see the mountain as a giant snowpark; or the Postermania 1985, an all mountain freestyle board.

Burton 2010

The Snow Avant Première is a cool little get together specially made for proshops to come see and test ride 2009/10 gear before anybody else and get a clearer idea of what they want to have in their shops for their customers next year. The event went on over the week-end in the French resort of La Clusaz so we just had to be there to get our feets on 2010 boards! Today was a really good day with great riding conditions and we were able to test lots of boards! Pretty stoked!
