I kinda have this problem with breaking bindings..like three pairs in one season last year :\ . Im trying to find a pair that won’t break on me and i`ve heard that Unions are “indestructable” but the people that i`ve asked about them said they didnt like them.. I`m looking at either Union Milans or Flux titans… ive never rode either brand and i don`t know much about them. Any one have any feedback on them?

I haven’t ridden either one, but I’m really curious which bindings you’ve managed to destroy! (Might help the folks that know with some recommendations too)

Burton Stilletos, Ride Vxn, and i`m not sure what kind the flows were, a pretty basic mens pair my friend won in a small comp. it was late season and they were my last resort! lol and of course i managed to kill one of them too. Last time i rode, i had a stilleto front binding and a flow back binding. It was always a great way to meet people tho, everyone always wanted to know why i had the mix.

Since the Burton Stilletos and the Ride Vxns are pretty low level bindings for both companies, you might try upgrading to one of their better (more expensive) models, if you like the general feel of their bindings. I’ve always thought that the Stilletos particularly feel pretty flimsy, but I know that a lot of girls swear by Lexas or Escapades, so perhaps look into those.
If you do want to switch up brands though, I can say I haven’t had any problems with my Salomon Poisons in two years of riding them. And my friends who ride Rome Madisons have been very pleased with their quality as well.
I’ve never ridden Unions or Flux, so sadly, I have no feedback on them.

Oh i forgot to mention i broke a pair of lexas the season before. I just always got the cheap ones because i figured i`d just break them anyhow. but this season i dont care about money i just want a pair that will last!

I gave up on women’s bindings. I kept breaking them. I wear guys boots, so I go with high end guy bindings. I love my Burton Triads. Comfy & responsive in bumps, trees, steeps, glades, NASTAR.
All the guys in the SS at Winter Park (including the trainers) are sold on the Unions. They are a stiffer binding and more durable than Burton’s. My next binding will probably either be a Union Force or Union Data. Just saying. Depends on your preferences, riding style and aggressiveness.

You need a higher end binding thats not a unibody. You need something that has dampening underneath it and a heel cup that doesn’t just connect at the back but attachs at the front and the back distributing pressure evenly. My suggestion is look at the Rome Madisons/Struts, You could do the K2 Virtues because the chasis triangle should distribute the pressure outward enough, The union milan has what I’m talking about with the power distribution unfortunately I find the highbacks too soft through their line up.

even the higher-end styles? are you opposed to the toe caps? and if nay, what would you recommend that has the toe cap straps? I’m really quite partial to them….

Yeah, I don’t know… the technine bindings just seem kind of chinsy to me. I’ve never ridden them, but I’m not sure I’d put money toward a pair either.

I’m all for personal preference on bindings so its not the toe cap factor. Its the fact that T9 as a company has changed hands more than a 2 dollar hooker in Tijuanna, their product is so weak right now and over priced.
If you’re looking for a cap binding just look at every company out there, if its not a full cap its a convertible strap. I will say as much as I dislike the way Ride bindings feel, their toe cap is probably the sickest thing out there as far as toe caps go.
