no snow in Lithuania yet as well (probably wont be till middle of december), but the weather is getting colder, so we hope to get some snow from the ice rink for a rail jib section. and we had a tease snow one day, but it all melted as it reached the ground.
I have been a few days at Abasin with only 1 run open. They have opened a second run and it has been snowing constantly all day today so I am super excited for tomorrow
I have been riding… in my dreams! I can only wish that there was snow here right now. Hopefully not much longer. Most opening dates for resorts around here is mid November. That’s what I get for loving snow and living in the southeast.
i’m still waiting for even a glimpse of snow.. i can see a hint of snow on the mountains in vermont but not too much.. i’m getting frustrated though!!! i just want to be out boarding SO BAD!!!
there is already some pretty good snow in austria, but no lifts are going up yet. Anyhow, i will be going riding indoor next week, to try out my new boots. 2nd week of decembre is going to be my first week of the season! :D
there was a few inches of snow last week in eastern PA, but it didn’t last long :( i don’t think any resorts will be opening until the end of november or beginning of december…LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!!!!!!
A-Basin and Loveland here… it was snowing last night like mad, so hopefully there’s some powder today!!!!!! :D :D
I think I have 10 days already. I got to ride my new snowboard too and I really really like it!!! Kinda bigger than what I like (it’s a 147; I like 143, 144ish)
Sidenote- AWD doesn’t mean shit when you have summer performance tires. lol. I was driving like such a bitch, 25mph in the deep snow hahahahaha. An Acura passed me. Embarrassing. I drive a 09 WRX btw. My friend drove it for me 2 days ago, also in snow, and she did a 180 through a tight turn. Scary but my baby’s OK! Time for snow tires… lol

i went with a couple of boys and we went to the rinks and used our bungee sweet pre season funnn
we just had the box up though nothing to special!
our hill doesn’t’ open till febuary!!!
i’ve been to hintertux in austria at the beginning of october for the snowboard opening and have been riding 2 days so far
earliest season start ever for me… and i’m loving it. i’m hoping for a bit of snow soon so all lifts can be opened!

Anyone been to Holiday Valley in NY before? I’m planning on going there, but wanted to see what people had to say about it before I make the trip.
I’ve been doing a bit of backcountry - the snow was a bit patchy, but it’s fun to ride up and do a few runs on Indy pass (outside of Aspen). The pass closed last weekend due to heavy snowfall, though so we’re waiting for the resorts to open - we’re too lazy/poor to drive to Loveland!
We’ve built a drop in and a kicker this evening at my bf’s back yard. There was some early snowfall last night, however as it’s gonna be from +3 to +8 comming week, we’ve took all the snow from the sides of the yard and put it on the places of drop in, kicker and landing- and hard packed it. We hope it’ll last bit longer that way. We’ve got a flat rail a round rail and a box, but they’ll have to be interchanged as only one thing can fit at a time. And there’s a roof which can be used for jumps, though the landing is flat.
We havent tried it yet as it was late and my equipment and my friends boots were left at my house. But will do so tomorrow right after studies. So excited, cant wait :D.

Are you talking about Holiday Valley in Montecello? If so, I’ve been there twice. Tends to be either hard-packed or icy there most of the winter. Really small ski area. Only locals go there. The parking lot is a mud lot. It’s not bad but there are much better places. It’s worth going once just to try it out.
If anyone’s on the East Coast or planning on coming here. I can give you a heads up on any slope from the Catskill Region on down and further out east towards the coast.
