What’s your pleasure? I think I’m more of a jib oriented person… as that falling feeling doesn’t bode well for me. I don’t even like roller coasters because that feeling in my stomach freaks me out! I want to get so much better at jibbing too… like real smooth front sides, spinning on top of boxes, maybe even try some handrails? (NOT next to staircases of course…)
I like drops with soft fluffy pow below. Or backcountry booters with soft fluffy pow. yay soft fluffy pow.
Park stuff… I guess I like both, as long as the features are kiddy sized.
I’m a bit more interested in learning to be good at jumps tho, so that I can do fancy tricks off drops before landing in the soft fluffy pow. Right now I’m pretty sure I just squeal and wave my arms around.
Jiblet -
Not one for jumps.. But I guess I never really tried it..
First time I hit a rail it was in the smaller park, and from then on just stuck to rails and boxes.. I have to try one with a gap next..
Psh whatever I stick to the Mark Landvik rule of thumb. “I just go out in there with a broom find the jumps sweep them off then hit it, that way I don’t have to build anything, saves time and energy.” He’s a very wise man.
jibs… I grew up riding in Shitsouri and since they didn’t get much snow, they focused more on setting up rails and stuff… I miss jumping, so I’ll definitely do that a lot more this year now that I live in slummit county
jib, because we don’t have snow at all and indoor the layer is 5 cm snow and a concrete floor under it. Doing jibs & rails is all we do in the indoorslopes.
Jumps, I think… I was getting into rails until I tried a 3-stage double barrel that I apparently wasn’t ready for… my board got caught in the supports when I came off and did a front somersault, chin-first. everyone thought I broke my neck, but no… I just couldn’t twist my back for 4 days. After that, for some reason I got a little less gutsy on the jibs.
