What’s in store for the 2009/2010 season? Still living in your RV?
no more RVing in the wintertime… I’m not sure where I will be - somewhere around BC, hopefully waist-deep in powder with my sled. i’ll probably be in whistler most of the time - if im in the backcountry i dont really care what kinda high-level curling competitions are happening near-by. i’m just gonna go out and have fun and try to get some new shots. after watching ELEKTRO i’m so pumped to go shred pow…

Seems like you’ve lived just about everywhere - what was your favorite?
I really like BC a lot - there’s so much space and wilderness and I love the forests and the ocean…

Our readers are getting ready to get their new gear - what are you most excited about from your sponsors?
Cant wait to get the Nikita denim snow pants to match my denim goggles hehe… also, the new Deeluxe Vicious, my favorite boot, has a new metal look…

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you while snowboarding?
I constantly eat shit in front of people - trying to show off!

Favorite pre-shred breakfast?
Oatmeal - gives you energy until the afternoon!!

I want a snowmobile. Are they awesome? Hard to drive?
Yes they are awesome… but dont expect it to be less energy-depriving than hiking ... they get stuck all the time and in the beginning this can be quite frustrating. It’s a huge machine to deal with and that can be quite overwhelming, especially since everyone needs to be self-sufficient and you can’t just ask the boys for help. I really like to be independent and not hold anyone up so it’s actually quite a bit of work. I had to learn lots about power sports; motors, avalanches, and a little mechanics in order for the boys to take me with them…

Worst injury? How’d you get back into the game after an injury?
I’ve had everything from blown knees to shattered elbows, but if you have powder on your mind and wanna get back on snow as fast as possible, nothing can hold you back!!! I just always did lots of physio therapy. I go every day to work out with my therapist and make sure not to drink any alcohol so that I heal fast. I also eat even more healthy than usual, avoiding animal fats, and eating lots of fish.

I couldn’t think of any good metal questions, so I asked a metal-obsessed friend - he said to ask “Who would win in a fist fight who would win Joan Jett or Wendy O Williams?”
Angela Gossow would blow both of them to pieces!!!

Then he said I should also ask you “What’s the worst metal song for your video part?”
I think this is really hard to say because it depends on the way it is shot and edited. I like when it all matches up… And anyways, when I really wanna listen to metal, I turn on Cradle and close my eyes….

What’s your favorite thing about summer snowboard camp?
Drying your wet socks in the back of your truck in the sunshine in the afternoon

... and I love how everyone on the glacier in the summer is a passionate snowboard addict!!! People that don’t absolutely LOVR shred wouldn’t make their way up a glacier in July. So, for once, everyone on the hills is hardcore.

How was filming with Alterna? Were you the only chick in the crew?

Yes, i’m the only girl in the crew. I have been friends with most of the boys for many years and we have a great time in the backcountry. I absolutely love filming with Alterna, I can learn a whole lot from the boys and they really motivate me to do well!
