WTF Wednesday - Chicks Dig Expensive Stuff Too!

So I’m sure if you spend too much time on the internet like me, you’ve heard the buzz about Burton’s crazy expensive prices for next season.  They’ve marked everything up, boo hoo, what will it do to prices from other manufacturers, yada yada yada.  What I really want to know is: why don’t the chicks get a $1500 snowboard?  I mean, come on, us ladies like to spend money too!  Why leave us out?
Now, my dreams of loitering around Aspen with my expensive snowboard and impressing people with evidence of my disposable income are crushed.  I can’t possibly afford a Bentley, and I doubt I could walk gracefully in Jimmy Choos.  This was really my only chance.

So as not to make the ladies feel left out, they’ve marked all of our regular boards up by $100 or so.  Psh, like that will solve anything.  We want top of the line, not another Feelgood ES!  Maybe they’re trying to keep us down.  I’m sure the materials and tech in the Method is light years beyond anything in the Feelgood, to justify such a price hike.  Right?  That means guys get to go out and buy a $1500 board that probably has some super cool material like rocket fuel or ectoplasm or flux capacitors that allow sucky riders to suddenly be able to spin 10’s and drop cliffs, and meanwhile we’re stuck with the Feelgood, which isn’t clearly just made of regular stuff like carbon fiber and wood, and not helping any Burton Pros to spin that big.

And they skipped us ladies with the expensive boots and bindings, too.  Why don’t we get access to the super ultra high techness that must come with a pair of $569 snowboard boots.  Those things must be like, the best boots ever made.  But noooo, we have to suck it up with our crappy $399 boots, which probably don’t have fancy magnets or robotic parts or any of that stuff that makes things awesome and expensive.  Bummer.

What’s that you’re saying? The SLX doesn’t have magnets? The Vapor has no flux capacitors?  What? Why the hell not?!
