SKULLCANDY MAKES LARGEST ONE TIME DONATION TO BOARDING FOR BREAST CANCER
Skullcandy makes presentation to B4BC at 2008 SIA; making donation the largest to date
(Las Vegas, NV — January 30, 2008) Skullcandy, a developer of core audio products, has announced their 2007 donation of $36,723 to industry non-profit, Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC). Their announcement was made public at this year’s 2008 SIA, making their contribution the largest one-time donation the organization has yet to receive.
“Boarding for Breast Cancer is something we’ve been a part of for awhile and every year we continue to find their mission more important and more relevant,” stated Rick Alden, Founder of Skullcandy. “This organization makes such a difference to the lives of so many and we’re thrilled to be able to give back to them and help them out every year.”
Skullcandy has been a B4BC supporter since 2006, donating 5% of all pink products sold to support the organization’s efforts to educate young women about the importance of early breast cancer detection and the value of an active lifestyle. This year’s donation will go directly to help support B4BC’s breast cancer awareness and educational outreach programs throughout the year.
“Skullcandy has been such a generous supporter and every year continues to surprise us with the growth of their donation,” said executive director, Justine Chiara. “This year we were not only thrilled, but blown away…the donation from Skullcandy will fund our college outreach program. It’s companies like Skullcandy that help us spread the much needed message of the value of and active and healthy lifestyle across the country and to make a difference.
