Nonprofits: Sweet Cheeks…Panties with a purpose

When I think of some pretty amazing charities a few that come to mind are Lance Armstrong when he created is ever famous “Live Strong” bracelets for Testicular Cancer, Boarding for Breast Cancer- to help protect the boobies, and the Chill Foundation that takes underprivileged children and gets them on the mountain. All great charities that are highly supported by the masses, among many others all across the country.  Though, one charity effort in particular has been sticking out to me lately.  This charity fundraising initiative is new and creative, I never would have thought of this, but when you are dealing with a philanthropist like Hannah Teter you would expect nothing less than something completely awesome and trendy. Hannah took it to the next level when she developed Sweet Cheeks. She paired the “…world of fun and fashion with charity and outreach.”

 

Hannah, being a two-time Olympic medalist snowboarder, and social activist has been known to the world to not only kick ass on her shred stick, but really kill it when it comes to social activism. In fact for the past 4 years all of her winnings have gone directly to support her favorite charities, though this year she is starting to divert that funding to companies like Sweet Cheeks that can raise money for causes she’s passionate about long after her snowboarding success has come to a close.  How selfless can one person be?

 

One cause that Hannah is particularly fond of is helping children who are trying to escape the grasp of extreme poverty and give them a chance to make something of themselves in this world. The charity that she has decided, after much research, does the best job in that field is Children International. This is where the development of the Sweet Cheeks panty line really started to come to life. When you purchase a pair (or pair’s) of Sweet Cheek panties they say that 40% of all net proceeds go directly to Children International, but luckily I got the insider scoop and to be honest they are just being modest, because right now, everything they make off of the sales or going directly to Children International. Wearing new panties will never feel so good!

So why team up with Children International?  There are so many charities across the country that provide so much good that it must have been hard to pick just one. This charity in particular stuck out to Hannah and the Sweet Cheeks team because it is a charity that does the most good per dollar. “Their holistic approach to feeding families and creating sustainable communities is what set them apart. “ By the donations received children are able to receive health, education, material, and emotional aid. With our help these children and their families are given the chance to break the cycle of poverty and realize their full potential.

Hannah is not the only sole backer of the Sweet Cheeks brand; she has brought on a team of ladies to help this charity take flight! With the strong support from Monyca Byrne-Wickey, Roxy surfer, Gabi Viteri, Burton team rider, this new line of panties will do nothing but good to support causes that they believe in.  As busy as these girls’ lives are don’t think for a second that they just throw these cute panties on and pose for a camera in tropical places, they actually visit areas around the world where Children International is providing aid. They get to see first-hand what their support is going to provide and talk to the families about what it means to help get back on their feet. 

After viewing this line of Sweet Cheeks I personally cannot think of another panty/boy short/thong line out there right now worthy of my hard earned money.  A lot of chicks in the action sports world have trouble purchasing sexy/cute underwear they actually like that won’t ride up their toosh (because let’s be honest it is not cute when you have to pick your wedge in public…or at all.) We want underwear that makes us feel good, drive our other half crazy, and can be worn in any situation.  There is nothing sexier than being practical about your underwear, unless there Granny panties that should only be worn on laundry day…or not at all.

When Hannah and her friends put this line together she really hit it solid.  She has given us a panty line that is really hot, looks amazing on your “ass-sets”, and is for a good cause. I cannot remember the last time I have ever felt this excited to purchase some new panties (Other than when I was five and the unicorn pattern was a must have!).  Hannah had the idea in mind that these panties can be used on or off the mountain, doing yoga, running, or just relaxing.  Check out some of these Sweet Cheeks below!
