Dew Tour Visits Killington, VT

During the week of January 17, 2011, Killington, VT was taken over by none other than the Winter Dew Tour. Fans came out in droves and the pros threw down. This is the first year that the Dew Tour was held at Killington, VT and the vibe showed it.

The women took to the pipe first thing Saturday morning and their was no hesitation in their ability to throw down. Kelly Clark stomped out the competition with a front 9, back 5, front 7, cab 7, and front 5. Not only did this run land her in 1st place, but she earned the highest score in women’s Dew Tour history with a 95.75. Gretchen Bleiler earned a 92.25 landing her in 2nd place at her first professional contest of the season with a run that was sure to please. Queralt Castellet from Spain rounded out the top 3 with a even 86 points.

Sunday morning the women took to the slopestyle course first and trooped it out in the below zero temps. Jamie Anderson held it down for her second straight Dew Tour win with a 91.25. First place came to her with a blunt on the rail, fifty-fifty frontboard, boardslide switch out and a front 3 mute. Second place went to veteran Spencer O’Brien with a 87.25. The podium was rounded out by Rebecca Torr who earned a 74.25.

An honorable mention goes out to Shred Betties team riders Megan Ginter and Madison Blackely who rounded out the top 5 in slopestyle.
