Bikini Thursday: Bare it all…

Erin Blaisdell

Bikini Thursday just got frisky!

Living in San Francisco a little over a year ago I stumbled upon Baker Beach. A popular beach to check out old bunkers, sink your feet into the soft sand and have the perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge and ….nudes! Being the adventurous I wanted to go climb the rocks on the other end of the beach. Traveling to the north side of the beach things started to become a little “bare”.  I passed what looked like to be a landmark on the beach, and after that I saw, EVERYTHING.  Coming from the northeast I wasn’t used to nude beaches but it looked very relaxing and normal to everyone else around me. So, with that in mind I just tried to keep a normal face and blend in. Checking my age into place and staying mature (giggling the entire time inside).

Baker Beach, San Francisco, California- Censored for your viewing pleasure.

On my recent trip back I had to get back to the Nude Beach aka Baker Beach. The plan was to check some skate spots along the bunkers and of course travel down to the climbing rocks to hang out with the nudes. While I kept my clothes on due to it being 60 degrees out and super windy, that didn’t stop the regulars from stripping down to just their sunscreen.

Friend Justin skating the bunkers at the nude beach without baring it all. Probably the safest idea.

Taking a break from Bunker skating to buff up just in case I decide to join the nudist clan.

Now, I don’t know how nieve this may sound but the more naked a person was that I encountered, the friendlier they were. Maybe it was the nice breeze brushing their skin and the sun rays filling their body with Vitamin D. One gentlemen wearing nothing but a tourist camera and some sun block on his nose taught me how to climb the rocks. He leaped from rock to rock with no fear of hurting…anything. I followed behind trying to keep up, not too close behind though. smile

So for this Bikini Thursday I say, bare it all as legally as you can. Tell me how it feels to be naked on a public beach and not have a care in the world. But honestly, I wouldn’t suggest rock climbing in the nude, those rocks can be slippery and your sexy parts are very fragile. To help you all with this naked task I have for you the top 10 nude beaches in the world.
